Meet the Mentees

Eliza Annovi

Hi! My name is Eliza, I just turned 20 and I’m here to meet you and search for my path towards the future. Currently I am studying at the Warsaw School of Economics. In my free time I am an active member of three student organizations, go on long walks and travel. I’m a very curious person that is constantly searching for opportunities to develop.  

 

Nadia Car

Nadia went on her exchange program four years ago. She’s passionate about traveling and discovering new cultures. She has her bachelor degree in English literature. She’s a feminist and in the future she wants to have share in empowering women. I love animals, in my free time I am volunteering at a local shelter.

 

Anna Cieciorowska

Ania is a senior at II Liceum Ogolnoksztalcace in Końskie. As a FLEX Alumni City Representative of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, she  volunteers and she organizes projects improving her local community. She is a member of the European Youth Parliament where she has an opportunity to develop her passions for travelling, debating and international relations. In addition, he is interested in photography and film.

Alicja Dejneka

A student full of passion for marketing, loves coffee and commercials for perfumes (she dreams of working on them in the future). In her free time she explorers Warsaw and plays the guitar.

Kacper Jan Kaleta

Kacper is a young social activist and a frequent volunteer (among others Refugee Support Centre in Radom). His interests are politics, diplomacy and American culture. This year's mature exam taker. He would like to study international relations. A graduate of Civic UP! Academy in 2021. He loves getting to know new people and the FLEX Alumni Mentoring would be a new experience for him and a space for development. 

Emilia Kochanowicz

Emilia is this year's high school graduate in the humanities profile. She plans to continue her education abroad after she takes a gap year. She volunteers in many local and international projects, usually as a group leader, graphic designer and content creator. In her free time, she teaches English, listens to podcasts and work on her artistic skills.

Aleksandra Lasek

Aleksandra is turning 17 this year and she lives in Warsaw. She plans to major in political science in international relations along with the ambition to acquire a degree in law. She loves writing and snowboarding; her academic interests cover American legal history and politics, civil rights movements and music (favorite performers being MF DOOM, Kendrick Lamar, Loyle Carner and anything including the voice of Morgan Freeman). 

Julia Lipnicka

Julia Lipnicka lives in Opole. She is a climate and women's rights activist and is passionate about the social aspect of the climate crisis. In her spare time she loves to drink matcha, listen to music and go on walks with her dog.  

Kacper Malinowski

Kacper Malinowski is a senior at the OSM Sosnowa High School in Łódź, where he specializes in playing the harp. He’s the finalist of 5 Academic Olympics. He is an Alumn of the FLEX Program.He’s currently the City Representative of Łódź in the American Councils. In November 2022 he received the City Representative of the Month award. Since 2019, he’s been a member of the Polish Young Greens. In 2020/2021, he held the title of Sustainable Development Ambassador in the United Nations Association - Poland, promoting Agenda 2030 among the youth. He’s the leader of the Meet project, and the co-creator of the Youth Changes the World project. Currently, he also leads the preparations for the Angel Shots Poland projects.

Zofia Slisz

Hi , I'm Sophie , a 17-year-old girl with a desire to explore and change the world. I love people and traveling and I smile a lot. My motto is "Try and leave this world a little better than you found it (...)" by Robert Baden - Powell. In the future I would like to live in Italy because I love this country and the people there. I try to find good things in every situation.

Martyna Strzała

I am 22 years old and currently studying chemical and process engineering at Poznan University of Technology. I am passionate about learning foreign languages and I work in a language school. In my free time I weight lift, travel and take part in social projects.

 

Julia Szubzda

Julia attends  3rd high school in Bialystok. She is involved in many FLEX program projects and actively participates in the life of her school by participating in the MCŻ choir, which won the Polish Choir Award of Stefan Stuligrosz in 2021 and many other awards in international competitions. Currently, she combines learning and self-development with teaching English, which is one of her many passions. In her free time, she loves to do all kinds of art and that's what she would like to do in the future.

Julia Szukała

After finishing her exchange year in West Virginia in 2020, Julia Szukala became an alumna of the FLEX program and has been involved in various program activities ever since. She started her journey as an Alumni Coordinator of Poland in 2022. Julia studies at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, where she grows professionally by conducting her scientific research in the field of microplastics. Julia is an alumna of Global Village on the Move 2022, Poznan’s Leaders Academy 2021, Ambassador of Sustainable Development Goals at United Nations Association Poland, as well as a receiver of the Prime Minister’s Scholarship and Talents Scholarship for the most outstanding university students in Poland.

Weronika Wajrak

Weronika is about to graduate from 5th High School in Warsaw and will play her first violin recital. Her utmost goal is to choose what she will study, with her interests revolving around chemistry, cognitive science, philosophy, and business. One thing she is sure is that pure professional skills will never be enough to effectively change the world for the better. This is why she aims to become a successful leader in whichever sector she will specialize in. ,,When asked to introduce myself, jokingly, I say I have a scientist’s mind, a musician’s soul, and a cat’s spirit.’’

Patrycja Wierzchałek

Patrycja is a daughter, girlfriend, and friend who recently started taking the first steps toward her professional career. In May 2022, she graduated from Minerva University. Starting in January 2023, Patrycja moved back home to Rzeszów to be closer to her loved ones, start a side start-up aimed at the Polish & Ukrainian markets, and work remotely part-time. Her passion is education. She is now growing experience being a Learning Experience Designer and Community Manager in the EdTech industry. Patrycja aims to develop her start-up to do the work she loves in the Polish ecosystem, where she believes she can offer valuable perspective.

Bartosz Zieliński

My name is Bartosz Zieliński and I am a student with the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at High School in Leszno. When time allows, I get involved in extracurricular initiatives, such as volunteering for Joe Biden's recent speech in Warsaw. I am also active at school, co-founding a campaign to make students aware of the harmfulness of energy drinks. In my spare moments from preparing for high school finals, I curiously analyze videos dissecting famous speeches. In addition, I am interested in the English Premier League and the American NBA.
