Welcome to the USA

“It’s not better, not worse, it’s just different.”

Some of the FLEXers of 2022/23 have arrived to their USA destinations. After heart-warming greetings at airports Polish students are slowly getting used to the new reality by spending time with their hosts and schoolmates, going to baseball or football games and attending classes in American high schools.

They report to us that their first days were definitely not the easiest, but they all managed to make them all count. Every day marks as another opportunity for them to learn something new, meet people and to confront the image they all had before coming to America.

They also try to show as much Polish culture as possible – one family was even shown how to make Polish dumplings! :)
