Alumni Mentoring Program

About the program

The Alumni Mentoring Program is a six-month program that connects alumni of the FLEX program and other young U.S. Government alumni with senior U.S. Government alumni for a unique professional development opportunity and aims to increase alumni involvement and prepare them for playing active role in their local communities. The FLEX Alumni Mentoring Program is funded by U.S. Embassy Warsaw. Participation in the Program is free of charge and includes:

Mentoring

Guidance from an individual mentor who will work with young alumni in his/her personal development and help him/her create and implement own social project. Mentors will come from an elite group of former participants of exchange programs of the U.S. Department of State, who can give mentees a different perspective than his/her parents or teachers and help connect him/her with other professionals.

Training

Two-day online training, where young alumni will gain the necessary knowledge about identifying social problems, creating projects and implementing them in him/her local community. The training will be also an opportunity to meet U.S. Embassy diplomats and share experience with other participants.

Project

The opportunity to apply for funding for an alumni project. One of the benefits of cooperation with a mentor will be a joint project focused around social issues that are important to the alumni or professional opportunity for self-development for alumni. The best proposals for these projects will be financed through the program
